Stig Even Jakobsen

Chairman of the Board

Stig Even Jakobsen has been the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Company since 2019. Jakobsen is a partner and lawyer at Kluge Advokatfirma AS, working primarily with transactions (M&A), corporate governance/law, pension, securities and commercialization of technology. He holds a degree within Economics and Business Administration from the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH) and a law degree from Oslo University. Jakobsen has previously worked for Legalteam Advokatfirma DA, Telenor, BAHR, Slaugther and May Solicitors and Nomura Securities and has experience as Chairman of the board of directors in Pareto Asset Management AS for eight years and as a board member in KLP Bedriftspensjon for eight years.

Haakon Aschehoug

Board member

Haakon Aschehoug has been a Board Member in the Company since 2016. Aschehoug is Portfolio Manager at RASMUSSENGRUPPEN AS, one of the leading family offices in Norway which currently is the largest owner of Nordic Aquafarms. Aschehoug holds a Master of Finance degree from Norwegian School of Economics (NHH) and a Master of Business Administration from Norwegian Business School (BI). Before joining RASMUSSENGRUPPEN AS in 2015 Aschehoug has held various positions within finance at DNB Markets, KLP Asset Management and Storebrand Asset Management. Aschehoug is currently also a member of the board at, the leading company within e-commerce of groceries in Norway.

Bård Eker

Board member

Bård Eker has been a Board Member in the Company since 2015. He is a Norwegian Entrepreneur and Innovator. Industrial Designer by profession with his Industrial Design, Engineering and Architecture background from Pratt Institute in New York and Statens Håndverks- og Kunstindustriskole in Oslo. He is an owner of several high technology companies and is an experienced CEO with a proven history of working in the design and development industry. Eker serves today on multiple boards as Chairman of the Board and Board Member. Eker is best known for his companies within Eker Group, such as Eker Design – Scandinavia’s leading provider of turnkey industrial and mechanical services, Hydrolift – a producer of high-end boats and vessels, EpiGuard – medical isolation of contaminated patients of such as Covid-19, Ebola – and his earlier commitment to Koenigsegg and the high-end projector-manufacturer projectiondesign.

Petter Borg

Board member

Petter W. Borg has been a Board Member in the Company since 2016. Borg has more than 35 years of experience within investment banking and asset management. He is the former CEO of Pareto Asset Management, a position he held for 18 years. Petter holds a degree in Economics from Handelsakademiet. Borg is the chairperson of Attivo Eiendom, and House of Maverix. In addition, he is a member of the board of directors of Grieg Investor, Krafthuset AS, Ferd Holding, Astrup Fearnley Asset Management and Cloudberry Clean Energy.

Bjørn Knappskog

Board member

Bjørn Knappskog has been a Board Member in the Company since 2017. Knappskog is founder and owner of Pemco. Pemco was established by Knappskog in 1996 and is an investment company focusing on small and medium-sized businesses with sustainable, environmentally-friendly and innovative profiles, and currently holds investments in renewable energy, paper and packaging from recycled raw materials, medicinal and chemical households, fintech and digitalisation, and is the second largest shareholder in Nordic Aquafarms Group. Knappskog is an Economist by education from University of Leeds.

Bernt Olav Røttingsnes


Bernt Olav Røttingsnes has been the CEO of the Company since October 2018. Røttingsnes holds a Master of Business Administration from Norwegian Business School (BI). Before joining Nordic Aquafarms Group he was CEO of Seagarden Group ASA, a leading producer of marine ingredients for the food & nutrition industry. He has previously held the position as CFO in PCI Biotech Holding ASA and Navamedic ASA, CEO in Navamedic ASA, Finance Manager and Marketing Manager in the Norwegian Ski Federation and auditor and Business Controller in PricewaterhouseCoopers.


Mikkel Thomsen

Group CTO

Mikkel Kristian Thomsen has led the Company’s internal RAS engineering department, Nordic Aquafarms Technology, since its founding in 2018 and has been the Group CTO since June 2020. He primarily works with hands-on leadership of all engineering, design, purchasing and project management of the Company’s recirculating aquaculture systems as well as R&D work and improvement of Company’s existing facilities. He holds a degree within Civil Engineering from Aarhus University School of Engineering (ASE). Thomsen has previously worked for the company Inter Aqua Advance – IAA A/S as the Head of Design, designing facilities for Grieg Seafood, MOWI and other players in the aquaculture industry.

Lars Henrik Haaland


Lars Henrik Haaland has been the CFO of the Company since October 2016, when the company was starting up construction of the Fredrikstad facility. He has worked with a range of topics in the company both financially, operational and strategically. He has previously worked 8 years for Siemens AS, as a business controller, head of corporate business development and as commercial project manager for large projects in the Oil&Gas division. He holds a degree within Economics and Business Administration from the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH), together with two international exchange programs, at Lancaster University, UK, and at Universiti Malaya, Malaysia.


Brenda Chandler

Interim CEO and CFO NAF Inc

Brenda Chandler is the Interim CEO and CFO of Nordic Aquafarms Inc. Brenda has been the CFO of the company since March of 2019 and began as Interim CEO in July 2022. She has worked extensively throughout the permitting and project planning for both the proposed Maine and California locations. Before joining Nordic Aquafarms, she held many leadership roles for ON Semiconductor (formerly Fairchild Semiconductor), with progressive experience in treasury, risk management, finance, accounting, and real estate. She has also served on the boards of non-profit youth organizations whose mission is enabling education for “at risk” teens. Brenda is a Maine native, holding a Bachelor of Science and Associate of Science degrees from the University of Maine at Augusta.
